A robotic spider, the humanoid robot George, various types of drones, and a robotic arm serving chocolate. All of this was on display at the Innovating Pilsen (Inovujeme Plzeň) conference, which took place on Tuesday and Wednesday at TechTower, the Drony SIT premises, and the Pilsner Urquell Brewery.
The unique project of the humanoid robot George was presented in Pilsen by the Zlín-based company Blogic. "We started eight months ago basically from scratch, and today we already have a robot with a developed upper body. By the end of this year, we would like to mount it on a mobile console, and by the end of 2027, we want to have a walking humanoid robot," Zdeněk Huspenina from Blogic told the Deník newspaper.
The idea came about because he and his colleagues had already been working with artificial intelligence since 2010. "That was at a time when no one even knew about ChatGPT and the like."
